I began my career by focusing on making schools more environmentally friendly and promoting sustainability. Initially, my goal was to find efficient methods to reduce waste and conserve resources. However, as I became more familiar with the built environment, I realized that the physical structures of the buildings themselves needed to be rethought. This realization led me to shift my focus towards studying architecture.
During my time in school, I received a grant that allowed me to explore my design concepts through film. This opportunity enabled me to visually convey the ideas behind my thesis, which centered on promoting healthy lifestyles through thoughtful design. Collaborating closely with actors and actresses provided valuable insights into their personal interactions with the built environment, reinforcing the importance of understanding the end-users of our designs.
My architectural education introduced me to the significance of software and technology in design. This exposure sparked my interest in product design, eventually leading to the co-creation of a travel-sharing app.
For me, design is fundamentally about enhancing the lives of people.
Looking ahead, my aim is to continue leveraging design to positively impact society. Whether it involves crafting websites, architectural structures, or a fusion of both, I am eager to continue contributing to making a difference in people's lives.
